Mission Statement

Our mission is to glorify God by making faithful disciples of Jesus Christ through the preaching of His Word, the cultivating of biblical community, and the intentional sending of believers to live out the gospel in every sphere of life.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to be a discipling church where believers are deeply rooted in Scripture, formed in Christlikeness through intentional community, and mobilized to make disciples both within the church and throughout the world.

Salvation

Man was created for fellowship with God; yet through sin, that fellowship has been broken. Scripture declares that all have sinned (Romans 3:10, 23), and that the just penalty of sin is death and eternal separation from God (Romans 6:23; II Thessalonians 1:8–9).

In His mercy, God has provided redemption through His Son. Jesus Christ, the sinless One, bore our sin on the cross (John 3:16; II Corinthians 5:21; I Peter 2:24), was buried, and rose again the third day (Matthew 27:57–60; 28:6). Through His death and resurrection, He has secured victory over sin, death, and hell (I Corinthians 15:57).

Salvation is offered to all who will believe. God is not willing that any should perish (II Peter 3:9), and eternal life is granted through faith in Jesus Christ (John 20:31). The Scripture declares, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). Likewise, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).

If you are convicted of your sin and believe on Christ, call upon Him in repentance and faith. You may express that faith in prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe Thou art the Son of God, who died for my sins, was buried, and rose again. Forgive me, cleanse me, and save me by Thy grace. I place my trust in Thee alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

If you have trusted Christ, we encourage you to make that decision known and to grow in your walk with Him.

The Bible

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be verbally inspired by God, without error in their original writings, and wholly infallible. As the very Word of God, they are the final and supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice, and are sufficient and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:19–21; Psalm 119).

God

We believe in one true and living God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, who eternally exists in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are of one essence, co-equal in power and glory, and co-eternal in all divine attributes, yet distinct in personhood. This triune God is the object of all true worship and the source of all truth (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 14:16–17; I John 5:7).

God the Father

We believe that God the Father is sovereign, ruling providentially over all His creation according to His perfect will. He graciously adopts as His children those who are united to Jesus Christ by faith; apart from Christ, none may claim Him as Father in a saving sense. Through the redemptive work of His Son, believers receive the adoption of sons and the privileges thereof (John 3:16; John 6:37–39; Galatians 4:4–7).

God the Son

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully divine, who took upon Himself true humanity, being God manifest in the flesh. He was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary, and lived a sinless and obedient life. He died as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, was buried, and bodily rose again the third day. He has ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes for His people. We believe He will return personally for His Church and will come again in power and glory to judge the world and to establish His kingdom (Philippians 2:6–8; John 1:1–2; I Thessalonians 4:13–18; I Peter 2:24–25; Revelation 20:4–6).

God the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and effectually draws sinners to Christ. At the moment of salvation, He regenerates the believer, baptizes him into the body of Christ, and takes up permanent residence within him. The Spirit seals the believer unto the day of redemption, sanctifies him, and equips him with spiritual gifts for service and the edification of the church, all to the glory of God (John 16:7–11; Ephesians 4:30; I Corinthians 6:19; 12:1–11; Romans 8:9–11).

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God, endowed with moral responsibility and designed for fellowship with his Creator. Through the voluntary transgression of Adam, sin entered the human race, and all humanity now stands fallen in him, possessing a sinful nature and being under the condemnation of sin. Consequently, all men are in need of redemption, which is granted solely by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 5:10–21).

Salvation

We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice, and therefore stand guilty before God. Salvation is found exclusively in the Lord Jesus Christ, and is received by grace through faith alone. The sinner must repent—turning from sin unto God—and place his trust in Christ for redemption. At the moment of saving faith, the believer is justified, being declared righteous before God on the basis of the imputed righteousness of Christ (Romans 3:23; 5:18; 6:23; John 3:16; 14:6; 20:31; Acts 4:12).

Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality

We believe that man is created in the image of God, male and female, as established by divine design. Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, consisting of the covenant union of one man and one woman. Within this covenant, sexual intimacy is both commanded and blessed; outside of it, all sexual activity is forbidden by Scripture.

We affirm that any sexual expression contrary to God’s revealed design—including, but not limited to, fornication, adultery, homosexual practice, and all forms of sexual immorality—is sin before a holy God. Such sins, like all sin, call for repentance and the transforming grace of the gospel.

In accordance with these convictions, membership in this church requires a life marked by repentance and submission to the authority of Scripture. Those who persist in open and unrepentant sin will not be received into membership or leadership. Furthermore, no minister or representative of this church will officiate a same-sex marriage, nor will such ceremonies be permitted on church property.

We hold that the teaching of Scripture regarding marriage and sexual holiness is clear, authoritative, and binding upon the life and practice of the church (Genesis 1:26–27; 2:18–25; Leviticus 18:22; I Corinthians 6:13–18; Hebrews 13:4).

Abortion

We believe that human life, bearing the image of God, begins at conception and is therefore sacred from its earliest moment. The intentional termination of unborn life constitutes the unjust taking of innocent human life and is contrary to the clear teaching of Scripture, without exception (Job 3:16; Psalm 139:14–16; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:44).

The Church

We believe that the Church, instituted by Christ and manifested at Pentecost, is the body of Christ composed of all regenerated believers. We affirm the autonomy of the local church under the headship of Christ. The church is commanded to observe two ordinances: believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of the church to make disciples, teaching them to observe all that Christ has commanded, and to send them forth to proclaim the gospel to all nations (Matthew 16:15–19; 28:19–20; Acts 2:42–47; I Corinthians 11:23–34; Ephesians 1:22–23).

Heaven and Hell

We believe that at death, the souls of believers immediately enter into the presence of the Lord, while the souls of the unbelieving are consigned to conscious judgment. This state continues until the final resurrection and judgment, wherein the eternal destinies of all men are fully realized (Luke 16:19–26; II Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 3:21; II Peter 3:13; Revelation 20:11–15).

End Times

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will personally return to receive His Church, catching away believers to Himself. Following this, believers will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ to give account. There will then be a seven-year period of tribulation upon the earth, after which Christ will return in power and glory to establish His millennial kingdom. The unsaved will be raised and judged at the Great White Throne Judgment and consigned to eternal punishment, while the redeemed shall dwell eternally in the presence of God (Matthew 24:21; II Corinthians 5:10; I Thessalonians 4:13–18; Revelation 20:10–15).
